Alumni Association
Nearly 60,000 alumni and counting.

You can support two areas within the Alumni Association: The Alumni Association Scholarship or `Runner Alumni Mentor Program (RAMP).

  • The CSUB Alumni Association awards scholarships to CSUB graduates pursuing their graduate degree on campus. The Alumni Scholarship Endowment was established in 1990 with a gift of $5,000 and has now reached over $216,000. This year, the Alumni Associations awarded $25,000 to 21 recipients. Recipients have high GPAs and demonstrate commitment to their campus and community. They succeed in a variety of fields, including education, public administration, counseling, nursing, social work and more. 
  • Through RAMP, CSUB alumni and other professionals are paired with juniors, seniors and graduate students who need help with such things as choosing a career path, drafting a resume, interviewing for jobs and networking. Research shows that mentorships are critical to helping students thrive while in school.

The CSUB Faculty and Staff Challenge
Thank you, CSUB faculty and staff! When you made a gift to your favorite fund today, you had an even greater impact. The top fund that received the most faculty and staff donors between the hours of 8 A.M. and 10 A.M. won an extra $2,000 donated by the Faculty and Staff Initiative Champions and an anonymous staff member. The $2,000 was committed to Housing and Food Insecurity, which received the most donors in that timeframe.

Help CSUB reach its goal of 575 donors in 24 hours on Giving Day, and President Zelezny will unlock a $50,000 gift to support student research via the Student Research Scholars Program.

The `Runner Pride Challenge
Calling all CSUB students! When you make a gift to your favorite fund today, you’ll have an even greater impact. The 25th student donor to any fund will unlock $5,000 donated by Gina and Dino Marsili for the CSUB Fund, which has supported students with access to learning technology during the pandemic. Once this challenge is met, Bynum Inc., will match it with an additional $5,000. *You must self-identify as a current student on the giving form.

This gift will be unlocked when the 40th donor makes a gift between the hours of 2 P.M. and 4 P.M. on Giving Day.
